After receiving undergraduate degrees at Duke University, Dr. Kefalas received his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1989 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Louis University Medical Center in 1994.
Dr. Kefalas is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, General Orthopedics, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He is also a fellow in the International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators.

What information will I need to bring to my first visit?
At the time of your initial appointment, we ask that you bring the following items: Photo ID, insurance cards, medication list, and all pertinent medical records from your family physician. In order for you to be seen in a more timely manner, we ask that you print off and complete all forms and bring them completed with you to your appointment if possible.
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
Dr. Kefalas does not require a referral to schedule an appointment. However, in some cases an insurance company will require a referral by your family physician. Please consult your insurance plan for additional information.
Which insurance plans do you accept?
Dr. Kefalas is a preferred provider with most insurance plans. If you have any questions regarding our participation with your plan, please call the billing office at (217) 425-2600.
